During August 2025, Sangeeta Shivajirao enhanced the DataDog/integrations-core repository by implementing a feature that tags all collected metrics and events from MySQL, PostgreSQL, and SQL Server integrations with the agent hostname. Using Python and leveraging her expertise in database monitoring and tagging, she updated the integrations to ensure consistent host-level attribution across analytics and dashboards. Sangeeta also revised the test suite to validate the new tagging, supporting reliable observability and improved filtering capabilities. This work addressed the need for standardized host-based tags, enabling faster root-cause analysis and more effective capacity planning for supported database environments within Datadog.
