During May 2025, Saurabh Garg developed new AI_AGENT and AI_TOOL entity definitions for the NGEP domain within the newrelic/entity-definitions repository. He focused on entity definition management using YAML, configuring these entities with manual expiration and non-alertable settings to support structured lifecycle management of AI platform components. This approach established a scalable foundation for future AI-domain work, improved data modeling consistency, and reduced unnecessary alert noise. Although the work was limited to a single feature and did not involve bug fixes, it demonstrated depth in designing governance mechanisms for AI-related entities and careful attention to platform configuration best practices.
