Worked on the sonic-net/sonic-buildimage repository to enable firmware-driven SKU management for the Mellanox SN5640 C508O1X2 platform. Delivered a configuration-only migration by removing software control dependencies and introducing SKU-local configuration files, ensuring essential SAI keys were preserved while omitting software-specific behaviors. Focused on configuration management and firmware development using JSON, the changes were limited to the SKU directory without modifying code, reducing operational risk and preparing the groundwork for future uneven-split support. Hardware validation confirmed correct port operation and CMIS/xcvrd stability, demonstrating a methodical approach to networking configuration and firmware integration within a complex hardware environment.
