Worked on the grafana/mcp-grafana repository to enhance session management for users authenticated through SSO and ALB. Developed a feature in Go that forwards selected HTTP headers from incoming requests to Grafana, enabling the application to rely on upstream authentication for managing user sessions. This approach reduced login friction and improved session reliability by propagating session cookies and supporting streamable HTTP methods such as SSE. Focused on backend and API development, the work included thorough testing to ensure seamless integration. The solution addressed the need for smoother user experiences in environments leveraging SSO, without introducing new bugs during the release.
