Worked on improving release hygiene and repository management for the owncast/owncast project by addressing issues related to accidental file inclusion in release tags. Focused on removing the .DS_Store file from release tags to ensure that releases remain clean and reproducible, which helps maintain a reliable build process. Additionally, cleaned up the release tagging workflow by eliminating an unintended binary blob, further supporting repository cleanliness. Utilized skills in repository management and workflow automation, likely leveraging shell scripting and Git for these tasks. The work contributed to a more maintainable release process and reduced the risk of unwanted artifacts in production releases.
