Worked on internationalization for the Metrolist project, focusing on expanding accessibility for Russian-speaking users. Delivered a complete Russian localization of the Metrolist UI by translating 614 strings using the Weblate translation workflow, ensuring consistency and accuracy throughout the process. The work involved editing XML resource files and integrating translations directly into the Android codebase, allowing seamless language switching within the application. By enabling a fully localized Russian interface, this contribution reduced onboarding friction for new users and supported Metrolist’s global reach. The technical approach emphasized Android development best practices, localization strategies, and collaborative translation management within the repository.
