Norwin Schnyder developed a new Gateway API CLI tool, gwctl, designed to simplify the management and inspection of Gateway API resources within Kubernetes clusters. Working in the Homebrew/homebrew-core repository, Norwin implemented the tool in Go, focusing on streamlining cluster operations and accelerating operator onboarding. The project included creating installation and testing workflows, as well as packaging the CLI as a Homebrew formula for standardized distribution. By integrating Go-based CLI development with Kubernetes Gateway API functionality and release engineering, Norwin delivered a solution that enables faster, more consistent cluster management without reported bugs, demonstrating depth in both tooling and workflow automation.
