Worked on the google/adk-python repository to expand A2A conversion pipeline capabilities by enabling Workflow as a valid root node, thereby improving the flexibility and reliability of data orchestration. Used Python to implement stricter type contracts and enhanced error handling, ensuring only BaseAgent or Workflow types are accepted and preventing runtime crashes from invalid root nodes. Developed comprehensive unit and end-to-end tests, leveraging API development and backend development skills to maintain regression coverage and validate workflows with various node types. These changes improved production reliability, reduced support overhead, and aligned the conversion process with the evolving v2 graph orchestrator requirements.
