Worked on the gopidesupavan/airflow repository, focusing on backend development and testing using Python. Delivered a dynamic ownership control feature for the MappedOperator class, enabling the owner attribute to be modified after initialization and supporting more flexible ownership policies. Enhanced the codebase with comprehensive tests to validate correct attribute assignment and ensure robust operator behavior. Addressed log management reliability by updating log retrieval for tasks skipped due to upstream failures, introducing placeholder messages to maintain a consistent user experience. Expanded test coverage for these scenarios, improving maintainability and reducing confusion when upstream tasks fail, while strengthening overall incident resilience.
