In February 2025, Stefan Puntigam enhanced the evcc-io/evcc repository by developing a feature that extends Solax meter support to accommodate a third MPPT and a second battery unit. He focused on embedded systems configuration and IoT device integration, introducing new YAML-based configuration parameters and register mappings to enable monitoring and control of larger, multi-MPPT solar installations. This work addressed the need for expanded compatibility in higher-capacity solar-storage systems, reducing manual intervention for users. Stefan’s contribution demonstrated a clear technical approach, with well-documented changes and traceable commits, reflecting a focused and in-depth engineering effort within a short timeframe.
