Worked on stabilizing the chart UI and enhancing dashboard user experience in the awslabs/iot-app-kit repository, focusing on a targeted bug fix rather than new feature development. Addressed a persistent issue where vertical legends failed to resize correctly when widget titles were present by refining the height calculation logic within the BaseChart’s Resizable component. This adjustment, implemented using React with JavaScript and TypeScript, ensured that chart legends now maintain proper sizing and visual consistency across various dashboard scenarios. The solution improved layout integrity and code maintainability by isolating sizing logic, contributing to a more predictable and user-friendly dashboard interface.
