Worked on expanding localization support for the FreeTubeApp/FreeTube project by implementing Xhosa and Afrikaans translations to improve accessibility for non-English users. Focused on internationalization using YAML, leveraging Weblate to manage translation workflows and ensure clear commit-level traceability. Delivered a new Xhosa translation file and contributed Afrikaans UI strings, bringing Afrikaans coverage to 84 percent completion. Collaborated with another contributor to accelerate the localization process and facilitate knowledge transfer. The work targeted high-impact, low-friction enhancements, enabling a broader audience to use FreeTube in their native language and supporting ongoing efforts to improve user experience through localization.
