Worked on the prometheus/snmp_exporter repository to enhance the display of Synology disk attributes, focusing on improving the readability and usability of disk labels for operators. The feature involved changing the SNMP attribute type from OctetString to DisplayString, allowing disk information to be rendered as user-friendly labels such as 'Disk N'. Leveraged YAML configuration and backend development skills to implement overrides for diskID, diskName, and diskRole, ensuring accurate label rendering. Maintained code quality by addressing CI hygiene, removing trailing spaces, and updating documentation. The work prioritized maintainability and release readiness, with all changes integrated into consistent build outputs.
