Worked on the DataDog/datadog-serverless-functions repository to streamline the codebase by deprecating and removing support for Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) serverless functions. This involved eliminating all OCI-related Python code, Terraform configurations, and Dockerfiles, as well as updating documentation in Markdown to clarify the repository’s current platform scope. The approach focused on reducing maintenance overhead and risk by removing obsolete components, which allowed the team to concentrate on core serverless features. By aligning the documentation and codebase, the work improved onboarding and productivity, leveraging DevOps practices and infrastructure-as-code skills with Python and HCL throughout the process.
