Worked on deployment reliability and code hygiene within the rackerlabs/genestack repository, focusing on resolving a deployment-blocking bug rather than introducing new features. Addressed a secret naming inconsistency by correcting a typo in Bash scripts, ensuring that secret references in create-secrets.sh and install-horizon.sh were properly aligned. This fix reduced deployment risk and improved the reproducibility of environment provisioning by standardizing secret management. Demonstrated careful change management and cross-script coordination using Shell scripting and version-controlled workflows. The work emphasized attention to detail in infrastructure automation, contributing to smoother deployments and clearer secret naming conventions across the codebase during the month.
