Worked on the cryptomator/cryptomator repository to deliver targeted UI accessibility enhancements using JavaFX and front end development skills. Focused on improving button interaction by updating event handling, enabling users to interact with UI buttons from any input device. Enhanced the main window’s usability by adding accessible text labels and tooltips to buttons that previously lacked graphical elements, supporting assistive technologies and improving inclusivity. The technical approach centered on refining JavaFX UI components to ensure cross-device compatibility and better accessibility. These changes addressed specific usability barriers, resulting in a more accessible and user-friendly interface for a diverse range of users.
