Tawshif developed and enhanced modelled energy outputs features for the bcgov/HOUS-permit-portal, focusing on both backend and frontend systems. He implemented persistent forms and UI scaffolding using React and Chakra UI, enabling business users to input and manage energy data efficiently. On the backend, Tawshif extended the Ruby on Rails API to support nested attributes and blueprints, while introducing data modeling improvements such as use_type enums and uniqueness validations. His work included comprehensive energy and emissions calculations, responsive design enhancements, and robust form handling. The depth of integration and validation addressed data integrity and streamlined downstream business processes.

December 2024 focused on delivering end-to-end support for modeled energy outputs within HOUS-permit-portal, including UI scaffolding and enhancements, API exposure, data integrity improvements, and comprehensive energy calculations. Delivered persistent modelled energy outputs forms, total energy and emissions calculations, and support for multiple use types. Stabilized integration with a rebase fix and advanced UI UX enhancements to improve business user efficiency and downstream integrations.
