Worked on the evcc-io/evcc repository to address a critical compatibility issue affecting Zaptec Go 2 phase switching. Developed and implemented robust version detection logic in Go to accurately distinguish between Go 1 Pro and Go 2 chargers, ensuring that the correct phase switching commands are applied for each device type. This backend development effort focused on improving device integration and API interaction, resulting in more reliable deployments and reducing the risk of misconfiguration. The targeted bug fix enhanced overall system stability for Zaptec Go 2 users, streamlining support and deployment processes while maintaining a clear focus on backend reliability.
