The main engineering effort centered on refactoring alert rule handling to enforce strong type safety, which reduced reliance on marshaling and unmarshaling and simplified the data path for improved maintainability. Expanded test coverage ensured that the new structure was robustly validated, supporting future development velocity. No major bugs were addressed during this period, as the work prioritized code quality and reliability. The approach emphasized clear, maintainable code and thorough testing, leveraging Go and backend testing skills throughout the process.
