Worked on the apache/nifi repository to enhance the reliability of NiFi’s replication logic by addressing a bug in the handling of optional ComponentStateEntity objects during clear-requests. Focused on backend development using Java, the work ensured that replication resources process clear-requests correctly whether or not a ComponentStateEntity is present. This change reduced failure modes and improved fault-tolerance in distributed NiFi deployments, contributing to more robust data flow reliability. Demonstrated skills in API development and code review, with careful attention to commit documentation and integration within the NiFi framework. The work emphasized stability and correctness in complex distributed systems.
