Worked on the grafana/mcp-grafana repository to enhance deep link functionality by introducing accurate time-range support. Developed a feature that converts ISO 8601 timestamps to epoch milliseconds, integrating this logic directly into the deep link generation process to improve shareability and precision. Utilized Go for backend and API development, ensuring robust handling of time ranges within deep links. Added comprehensive unit tests to validate the ISO8601-to-epoch conversion and safeguard against future regressions. The work focused on backend reliability and test coverage, addressing a specific bug in time range handling and delivering a targeted improvement to the deep linking experience.
