Tim Ellis developed an end-to-end analytics platform for the CMSgov/ab2d-bcda-dpc-platform repository, enabling QuickSight dashboards through an Athena-based data pipeline. He architected the solution using AWS services such as Kinesis Firehose for data ingestion, Glue for data cataloging, and automated deployment with Terraform and GitHub Actions. Tim also addressed infrastructure hygiene by fixing Terraform and Athena configurations to ensure correct S3 bucket and KMS key references, improving data governance and security. In CMSgov/beneficiary-fhir-data, he removed a deprecated test certificate from production, further strengthening the security posture. His work leveraged Python, SQL, and Terraform throughout the process.
