Worked on the CMSgov/bcda-app repository to enhance code review governance and configuration clarity over a two-month period. Updated the CODEOWNERS file using YAML to reflect a team rename, which improved pull request routing and clarified review responsibilities, reducing bottlenecks and misassignments. Later, focused on configuration management by adding detailed in-file documentation that enumerated model names and their statuses, supporting BCDA integration and easing onboarding for new contributors. Emphasized repository management and documentation skills throughout, prioritizing maintainability and process improvements. No bugs were fixed during this period, as efforts centered on strengthening project governance and configuration transparency for long-term stability.
