Worked on the hmcts/opal-fines-service repository to deliver a permissions overhaul focused on backend and database improvements. Developed and integrated a new 'Search and View Accounts' permission, updating the permission model to reflect revised entitlements. The approach involved re-sequencing existing permissions, aligning database mappings with new permission IDs, and ensuring all related tests accurately reflected these changes. Utilized Java for backend logic and SQL for database management, with a strong emphasis on permission management best practices. The work was delivered as a cohesive update, demonstrating attention to detail in both implementation and testing, and addressed evolving requirements for account access control.
