Worked on the buildkite/agent-stack-k8s repository to enhance command container detection for Kubernetes-based pipelines, focusing on reducing configuration friction and improving usability. Developed a feature in Go that relaxes detection rules, allowing containers to be recognized even when the command value is empty, by checking for the presence of the command variable. This adjustment addressed a previous bug that required a non-empty command, resulting in more reliable detection of container steps. The implementation emphasized maintainability with clear commit messaging and traceability. Leveraged backend development skills to deliver a targeted solution that streamlines CI/CD workflows and increases configurability across environments.
