Worked on the openwrt/packages repository to deliver EAP-TLS authentication support, focusing on enhancing network security and streamlining authentication processes. Developed a feature that enables asymmetric server and client authentication flows, automating the handling of server public key and client EAP-TLS methods to reduce manual configuration errors. Utilized shell scripting and a deep understanding of authentication protocols to integrate this functionality with strongSwan, aligning with OpenWrt’s security hardening objectives. The work improved the reliability and security posture of authentication configurations by minimizing configuration drift and simplifying setup, demonstrating a methodical approach to security-focused feature development in shell environments.
