Worked on the inveniosoftware/invenio-app-rdm repository to address a homepage LaTeX rendering issue, focusing on improving the display of mathematical symbols for users. Utilized React and JavaScript to integrate MathJax, enabling accurate LaTeX rendering on the homepage and ensuring that content updates triggered correct re-rendering through the componentDidUpdate lifecycle method. This approach stabilized the homepage’s visual consistency, particularly for mathematical content, and enhanced the overall user experience by reducing display inconsistencies. The work demonstrated a strong grasp of front end development, React lifecycle management, and third-party library integration, with an emphasis on maintainable and reliable code changes.
