Worked on the spring-projects/spring-boot repository to deliver a targeted feature upgrade focused on improving template rendering and layout management. The main contribution involved upgrading the Thymeleaf Layout Dialect to version 4.0.0 and updating the layout dialect bean configuration to adopt a new sorting strategy. This technical approach enhanced the reliability and consistency of templating across Spring Boot applications, addressing roadmap goals for predictable layouts. Leveraging Java, Gradle, and Spring Boot, the work laid a foundation for future layout improvements while directly improving rendering performance and maintainability within the templating system. No bug fixes were recorded during this period.
