The approach involved API development and schema design using JSON, focusing on restructuring bag definitions to support future extensibility. Renamed the iconUrl property to imageUrl for improved clarity and consistency across the schema. These changes laid the foundation for scalable bag-type configurations and enhanced the self-checkout user experience. The work emphasized maintainable schema evolution, ensuring that additional bag types can be integrated smoothly as requirements grow, while maintaining a clear and organized JSON structure throughout.
