Vel contributed to the element-hq/synapse repository by implementing support for Ubuntu 25.10, ensuring the project remained compatible with the latest operating system lifecycle and security updates. This work involved dropping support for Ubuntu 25.04 and updating package management scripts and CI configurations to reflect the new baseline. Vel applied DevOps practices and Linux administration expertise, collaborating via Git to maintain stability and prevent regressions. The update improved the security posture of the platform and reduced support risk by aligning with current OS patch levels. Python was used throughout, with a focus on maintainability and readiness for future platform enhancements.
