Worked on the google/adk-python repository to address a critical issue with LlmAgent’s streaming output retention, focusing on backend development and asynchronous programming in Python. Developed and integrated a helper function that accumulates all streamed text, ensuring complete output is preserved across asynchronous and live execution paths. Enhanced code reliability by adding targeted regression tests, including scenarios with interleaved text and tool calls, and validated fixes through continuous integration pipelines. This work eliminated substantial retention loss of streaming content, improved analytics fidelity, and delivered more accurate user-visible outputs, demonstrating a methodical approach to code quality and maintainability through robust unit testing.
