Developed a Currency Conversion Service within the gomorpheus/morpheus-plugin-core repository, enabling retrieval of date-specific exchange rates for multiple currencies to support international workflows. The solution centralized currency data and exposed a stable API, reducing manual data gathering and improving reliability for downstream services. Leveraging Java, RxJava, and backend development skills, the implementation included designing the service architecture, building the API layer, and integrating data retrieval logic for precise cross-currency lookups. The work established a foundation for future enhancements such as rates caching and historical queries, contributing to more efficient FX-related processes and streamlined integration within a mono-repo plugin environment.
