During November 2025, D. Viswanatha Reddy developed a Currency Conversion Service within the gomorpheus/morpheus-plugin-core repository, enabling retrieval of date-specific exchange rates for multiple currencies. He designed and implemented a robust API layer and backend logic in Java, leveraging RxJava for reactive data handling. The service centralized currency data, allowing downstream systems to perform reliable cross-currency lookups for specified dates, which streamlined international workflows and reduced manual data collection. His work demonstrated proficiency in API development and backend integration within a mono-repo plugin architecture, laying the groundwork for future enhancements such as caching and historical rate queries.
