Developed and delivered a filesystem metrics collector for the prometheus-node-exporter-lua within the openwrt/packages repository, enabling detailed monitoring of filesystem size, free and available space, inode counts, and read-only status. The implementation adhered to established node-exporter metric conventions, ensuring compatibility and ease of integration for OpenWrt deployments. Leveraging Lua scripting and Prometheus metric exposure, the work enhanced observability and facilitated proactive capacity planning as well as faster issue detection. The approach demonstrated careful commit hygiene and backend development skills, focusing on robust monitoring capabilities without introducing reported bugs during the development period. No major bugs were encountered or fixed.
