Worked on the ankane/iceberg-go repository to deliver catalog existence checks for tables and namespaces within the AWS Glue catalog, enhancing the reliability of catalog operations. Implemented new backend logic in Go to verify the presence of entities, improving error handling for non-existent tables or namespaces and reducing the need for manual validation. Updated project documentation to reflect these new capabilities, ensuring users can easily adopt the changes. Focused on backend development and catalog management, the work strengthened automation readiness for catalog operations and aligned with broader enhancements in cloud integration, contributing to safer and more robust data management workflows.
