Worked on the canonical/github-runner-operator and canonical/jenkins-k8s-operator repositories, focusing on observability and reliability in Python-based DevOps environments. Enhanced reconciliation observability by introducing predefined histogram buckets, then carefully reverted the change to maintain metric compatibility and production stability, documenting the process for future reference. In the Jenkins operator, addressed a bootstrap race condition by implementing API readiness checks and a tenacity-based retry mechanism for secure token provisioning, supported by integration tests to ensure robust deployment across clusters. Demonstrated a methodical approach to metrics, monitoring, and testing, prioritizing data-driven decisions and operational continuity throughout the development cycle.
