Worked on enhancing telemetry and observability for the microsoft/vscode-copilot-chat repository, focusing on improving the reliability of API completions within Copilot Chat. Developed and integrated new telemetry emission points in the engine processing path using TypeScript, ensuring that engine messages related to API-driven conversations are accurately captured. Updated test assertions to align with the conversion logic for Responses API output, which improved the validation process and data quality. These changes provided more comprehensive end-to-end telemetry coverage, enabling better monitoring and troubleshooting. The work leveraged full stack development and testing skills to support data-driven product decisions and overall system reliability.
