Worked on the UTDallasEPICS/xuchil repository to design and implement a production process template and materials schema for manufacturing workflows. Developed new database models for process templates, template steps, and required materials, establishing clear relationships to product variants and enabling per-step material requirements. Used Prisma for schema management and database design, updating the schema to support these new structures. This work laid the foundation for scalable production planning, improved data integrity, and streamlined onboarding of new processes. The technical approach focused on creating a robust, extensible schema to support complex manufacturing requirements and facilitate data-driven decision-making within the application.
