In September 2025, Diesel Mo delivered Russian localization for the Jellyfin media server by contributing directly to the jellyfin/jellyfin repository. Focusing on internationalization, Diesel used JSON and Weblate to implement core translation strings, ensuring Russian-speaking users could access the platform in their native language. The work involved updating translation resources and references, with careful attention to translation quality and consistency. Although no bugs were fixed during this period, Diesel’s efforts laid the foundation for broader localization initiatives. The project showcased skills in localization, software development, and translation, addressing accessibility needs and enhancing the user experience for a new audience.
