During June 2025, work focused on enhancing the nextcloud/app_api repository by enabling HTTPS support for manual daemon installations, expanding deployment options beyond the previous HTTP-only limitation. This was achieved by removing constraints that prevented HTTPS in manual-install workflows, allowing administrators to opt for secure TLS-enabled setups with greater flexibility. The implementation involved backend development using PHP, with careful attention to HTTP and HTTPS protocol handling and security-conscious deployment practices. No major bugs were addressed during this period, as the primary contribution centered on capability expansion and robust change-tracking through a commit-based workflow to ensure traceability and maintainability.
