Worked on the vr4vet/Blue-Sector repository to enhance XR reliability and modernize movement logic within Unity-based game development. Refactored player movement by integrating the BNG library’s TeleportPlayer, streamlining XR positioning and removing outdated files to reduce maintenance. Addressed two stability issues by ensuring the XR rig’s PlayerController resets to a consistent starting position after scene loads and by stabilizing BreakTask dialogue flow through precise BoxCollider adjustments. These C#-driven improvements reduced scene-load friction and improved task reliability, laying a foundation for future XR enhancements while simplifying scene management and supporting robust, maintainable development practices in immersive environments.
In November 2024, the vr4vet/Blue-Sector project delivered key XR reliability improvements and a modernization of movement logic, directly enhancing user experience and reducing maintenance overhead. Major changes include a Teleportation System modernization using the BNG library, plus two stability fixes that ensure consistent starting pose and reliable BreakTask dialogue flow. These efforts reduce scene-load friction, improve task reliability, and simplify future XR enhancements.
