Developed Dolby Vision HLS variant support for the jellyfin/jellyfin repository, focusing on enhancing video streaming compatibility and playback reliability. Implemented a spec-compliant HLS variant for Dolby Vision Profile 5 (HEVC) and Profile 10 (AV1), updating manifest generation to include accurate 'dvh1' and 'dav1' codec strings. This approach ensured that Dolby Vision streams were only served to clients explicitly declaring support, maintaining compatibility with older players and reducing playback failures. Leveraged C# for backend and API development, applying expertise in HLS and video streaming to improve end-to-end client interoperability and align with the project’s quality standards.
