Contributed Finnish language localization and accessibility enhancements to the jellyfin/jellyfin open source project, focusing on expanding usability for Finnish-speaking users. Leveraged JSON for translation data and integrated the Weblate platform to streamline the localization process, enabling scalable and ongoing updates for the core Jellyfin user interface. Established a repeatable workflow for future localization efforts, ensuring that additional languages and accessibility improvements can be incorporated efficiently. The work centered on delivering a new feature rather than bug fixes, emphasizing process enablement and translation quality. This contribution improved accessibility and set a foundation for sustainable, community-driven localization within the project.
