Worked on the frc2399/2025-season repository to enhance robot intake control and improve hardware safety. Delivered a refactor of motor naming conventions for clarity, introduced direct operator controller bindings for intake and outtake speeds, and implemented an arm feedforward mechanism to increase wrist motor precision. Addressed hardware constants and safety controls by aligning unit definitions, correcting angle constants, and refining elevator hold behavior to prevent unintended motion. Added build-version tracking for improved release traceability. Leveraged Java, embedded systems, and the Command-Based Robot Framework to increase code maintainability, operator responsiveness, and overall reliability for both teleoperated and autonomous operations.
February 2025 summary for frc2399/2025-season: Delivered essential hardware constants and safety control fixes that increase reliability and operator safety, while adding build-version tracking for improved traceability. Reconciled unit definitions and control bindings, corrected angle constants, and refined elevator hold behavior to prevent unintended motion. These changes reduce hardware risk, enable safer autonomous operations, and streamline debugging and release processes.
