Evalds contributed Latvian localization to the Jellyfin and Jellyfin Android TV repositories, expanding accessibility for Latvian-speaking users. He implemented high-coverage translations using Weblate, ensuring that both the core Jellyfin platform and its Android applications reflected consistent and accurate Latvian language support. Working primarily with JavaScript and XML, Evalds synchronized translation workflows across multiple repositories, which streamlined updates and maintained translation quality. His work addressed onboarding challenges for international users by delivering nearly complete Latvian string coverage, particularly on Android platforms. Over the course of a month, Evalds focused on localization and open source collaboration, deepening Jellyfin’s global reach.
