During October 2024, Vitabytes contributed to the jellyfin/jellyfin repository by delivering Greek language localization, enabling improved accessibility for Greek-speaking users. They established a scalable translation workflow using Weblate, integrating JSON-based translation files and ensuring traceable commits within the project’s version control. This work expanded the project’s internationalization footprint and laid the groundwork for future language support. Vitabytes focused on localization and translation, collaborating cross-functionally to align with open source contribution standards. While no bugs were fixed during this period, the depth of their work is reflected in the robust, maintainable localization pipeline and the enhanced user experience for Greek users.
