Worked on the frappe/hrms repository to deliver multi-currency support for expense claims, addressing the complexities of handling advances in different currencies. Developed backend logic in Python to convert advances to the claim currency and validate currency consistency, ensuring accurate base-amount calculations and preventing mismatched advances from being submitted. Enhanced the frontend to filter out advances with currency discrepancies before submission, reducing the risk of incorrect general ledger entries. Added targeted tests to cover cross-currency scenarios, strengthening reliability and auditability. This work improved data integrity and financial reporting for HRMS expenses, leveraging skills in backend development, frontend development, and testing.
