Adithya Akkr worked on expanding Malayalam language support for the jellyfin/jellyfin-androidtv repository, focusing on localization improvements for both Jellyfin Android and Android TV applications. Using Weblate as the translation workflow platform, Adithya increased Malayalam translation coverage from 38.4% to 50.4%, updating 67 strings in XML format. The work involved cross-platform internationalization (i18n) and commit tracing to ensure translation accuracy and maintainability. By reducing the localization backlog and streamlining future contributions, Adithya’s efforts enabled broader accessibility for Malayalam-speaking users. The project demonstrated depth in localization engineering, though the scope was limited to translation features without bug fixes.
