Worked on the intercom/Intercom-OpenAPI repository to enhance external integration capabilities by delivering public documentation and a new API endpoint for WhatsApp outbound metrics. Focused on improving developer experience, the work introduced a GET /messages/status endpoint with pagination, detailed event data, and ruleset-based filtering, all defined using YAML and OpenAPI Specification. The implementation included clear error response codes and a structured response schema, strengthening API contracts and providing clients with reliable guidance for monitoring message statuses programmatically. Emphasized REST API design, robust documentation, and API governance, resulting in clearer integration paths for third-party developers without addressing major bug fixes during this period.
