Worked on stabilizing the Percona Helm charts in the percona/percona-helm-charts repository by addressing a deployment issue related to the pg-db backup configuration. The solution involved updating the YAML configuration to ensure the manual backup settings were only applied when explicitly defined, preventing undefined values from causing deployment failures. This change included aligning the chart structure with the latest standards and bumping the chart version to 2.6.1. Utilizing skills in Helm and Kubernetes, the work improved the reliability and maintainability of production deployments, providing a safer upgrade path for users who depend on consistent backup and restore operations.
