Worked on the gchq/CyberChef repository to deliver an enhancement for URL encoding, specifically adding support for percent-delimited hex values within the encoding process. This feature extended the existing hex encoding logic to recognize and correctly handle percent delimiters, improving interoperability and reducing errors during URL construction and data transfer. The implementation involved a single, well-structured commit and was developed in collaboration with other contributors, demonstrating effective teamwork within an open-source environment. Leveraging JavaScript and full stack development skills, the work focused on encoding and decoding mechanisms, resulting in more robust and accurate data representation for URL-safe operations.
